CoD flop: Activision has found the culprit for failure
Call of Duty: Vanguard has sold millions of times, but is still a flop for the players. And publisher Activision is also dissatisfied with the success of the shooter. Fortunately, the reason for the dilemma has already been identified.
COD: Vanguard is a flop, but why?
A new annual report of April 30, 2022 shows that publisher Activision Blizzard is dissatisfied with the latest Call-of-Duty game . The report first reads unusually self -critically:
_ "Although Call of Duty is still one of the most successful video game series of all time, Vanguard's release did not meet our expectations in 2021, which in our opinion is primarily due to our own execution." _
So was it due to the annual publication of COD and the associated oversaturation The player? Or was it the hated Skill Based MatchMaking ("SBMM") that has been annoyed by die -hard fans for years?
Nope, it was on the Second World War. According to Activision, the setting of Vanguard's failure is all al1. So the community did not accept the alternative war scenario as the publisher wanted.
Well, in the end you mention that it also lacks the game on the right innovations , but cod fans can only shake your head with such statements.
Call of Duty takes a break
At least Activision has already announced first consequences **. In 2023, no new Call of Duty will appear. This is the first time in 20 years that the series takes a break.
Before this break, Activision wants to let it rip again. This will appear at the end of the year Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The largest and most elaborate COD in series history. And Warzone should also win fans with a tangible successor.
