Steam takes advantage of offers to break records with 27 million simultaneous players
Last Sunday, November 28, 2021, Steam broke a new record. We say this because the Valve video game platform has registered a peak of 27,384,959 simultaneous players. The conjunction of the weekend of Thanksgiving and the autumn rebates, which will end on December 1, have been partly allowed to achieve this historical figure. Among the most played games in Steam during this period, we can mention some like CSGO, Data 2, Team Fortress 2 or MMO New World.
This promises a good future for the Valve platform, since it continues to beat its own records. By putting a little context, during the pandemic and the many quarantines around the world, Steam had managed to reach a peak of almost 20 million simultaneous users
Halo Infinite multiplayer beta also played an important role in all this. In fact, the first FPS season developed by 343 Industries managed to bring together 272,586 simultaneous players in Steam. With almost 80% of positive criticisms of almost 80,948 analysis in total (despite the controversy with the seasonal pass), it is not impossible for advertising to continue to increase in the coming weeks. It also remains to be seen if the winter offers of the platform allow you to beat this recently established record.
